MINI ART CAMP

A message from Pat Pickard:
"We hosted 15 kids at Mini Art Camp. We made a lot of art, and celebrated Creation and the coming of Spring. Our inspiration came from a quote by the poet, Mary Oliver:
"...Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it."

We took a "pay attention" walk outside, followed by doing some art exploration using some of what we had found, and we were "astonished" by its beauty! Finally we "told about it" by sharing our favorite creations with one another in a group circle critique.

Many thanks to the art leaders Pat Pickard, Ellie Verbeyst, Regan Pickard and to the art assistants Cori McClelland and Suzanne Shockley. Our snacks were deliciously supplied by Tracy McClelland and check-in and 'extra hands' were provided by Beverly Kaminski and Kim Fulper."

In collaboration with the Session of Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Community Foundation of New Jersey is pleased to announce the Samuel Ayres, Jr. Scholarship for the academic year 2024-2025. Please see below for requirements and application.
In the first quarter of this year, the church incurred two extraordinary expenses that depleted our Capital Fund by over $26,000:
*January: One of the two boilers of the church needed to be replaced at a cost of $13,600.
*March: It was discovered that there had been a water leak from the stained glass window above the front church doors which caused extensive water damage to the doors and damage to the interior wall of the vestibule. Repairs of the doors, window and wall resulted in a $12,500 expense.

These major expenses have had a significant negative effect on our church finances and we need your help. Please prayerfully consider joining us in making a contribution to our Capital Fund while continuing your current level of Sunday offering. Please note "Capital Fund" for your contribution.

Thank you !
